The position is responsible for ensuring that all products manufactured meet or exceed quality standards as well as all safety, environmental and ISO requirements. Implement continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing and QC environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- QC Lab Testing:
Apply work instructions, procedures, and calibrate QC instrumentation as outlined in the Quality Control Manual. Ensure all lab testing results are completed accurately and recorded promptly. - Sampling & Testing:
Obtain QC testing samples according to the Quality Requirements and perform testing in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices. - Documentation:
Write a daily report of all QC testing performed on products received in the QC lab using the appropriate communication database or electronic format. - Calibration & Maintenance:
Confirm that all QC instruments meet calibration requirements and maintain the calibration work instructions. - Continuous Improvement:
Work with team members to identify improved methods of QC analysis and/or new QC lab equipment to increase lab efficiencies. - CoA & Traceability:
Ensure that all Certificates of Analysis, MSDS, Calibration/Verification records meet ISO 9001 traceability standards. - Housekeeping:
Perform housekeeping duties as needed and assist in communications with production personnel to provide efficient production flow of quality products. - Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
- Education:
Associates Degree in science or engineering or 3–5 years of QC laboratory experience. - Computer
Skills:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to present technical data to QC team, business leaders and others. - Organizational
Skills:
Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities; excellent verbal, written, and math skills. - Analytical & Problem‑Solving:
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail. - Technical Knowledge:
Ability to leverage knowledge of chemistry in cementitious chemistry, epoxy liquids, latex, and/or LATICRETE product lines. - Physical Requirements:
Must lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand 75% of the day, sit 25% of the day, twist/bend 25% of the day, and squat/climb/crawl 25% of the day. - Travel:
Must be able to travel 0–5% of the time. - Physical Fitness:
Must pass pre‑employment physical and meet physical requirements listed above.
