Job Purpose
The Quality Control Inspector at PRECISION MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. This role is crucial in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence in the medical technology industry by meticulously inspecting and testing materials, components, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify product dimensions, performance, and functionality.
- Document and report inspection results, including any deviations from quality standards, to relevant departments for further analysis and corrective action.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, tests, and other quality control activities in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality audits and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality control processes and procedures.
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on quality standards and inspection techniques to promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. An associate degree in a related field such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or Manufacturing Technology is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
- Proven experience with quality control processes, including inspection techniques and measurement tools.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and methodologies, including ISO and FDA regulations relevant to medical devices.
- Proficient in using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address quality issues.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to document findings and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with computer systems and software applications related to quality control, such as statistical analysis tools and quality management systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and achieve quality objectives.
