Job Title: Quality Coordinator

Business Unit: Custom Fabrication

Location: Poseyville, IN

Reports To: Cole Eckert, Director of Production Support

Work in conjunction with Quality Coordinator to oversee quality inspections and help maintain consistent inspection standards across shop operations. This role supports material verification, equipment calibration, process auditing, and workmanship evaluation to ensure products meet customer expectations and internal quality requirements throughout manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain quality standards throughout production independent of other departments.
  • Ensure compliance with current AISC, AWS, and ASTM specifications and standards.
  • Perform visual inspections of welds and fabricated components as required.
  • Coordinate with outside inspection agencies when third‑party inspections are needed.
  • Recommend improvements to manufacturing procedures and quality practices across departments.
  • Administer quality control procedures designed to build quality into the product throughout production.
  • Review welding procedures and related documentation when required.
  • Support quality testing, nonconformance tracking, and troubleshooting of field‑related issues.
  • Maintain accurate quality control records, reports, and documentation.
  • Verify fabrication layout and dry film thickness prior to customer receipt or shipment.
Qualifications
  • Welding and fabrication certifications (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.) preferred but not required.
  • Experience or training in metal fabrication, inspection, and quality testing.
  • Working knowledge of steel components, materials, and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to pass required vision testing standards for weld inspection activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional approach in the workplace.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation.
  • Ability to identify quality concerns and support corrective actions when needed.
