Quality Control Manager – Precast/Prestressed Concrete
Active PCI and ACI certifications are required for this position. Candidates must hold both current certifications to be considered. No exceptions.
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the quality program for a precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing operation. This is a key leadership role for an established QC professional who can take ownership of the plant’s quality program, lead QC personnel, and work closely with Production and Engineering. The successful candidate will ensure products meet applicable PCI, ACI, ASTM, customer, and project-specific requirements while driving accountability, continuous improvement, and a strong quality culture.
- Lead the Quality Control department and QC personnel.
- Oversee inspections, testing, procedures, documentation, and audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with PCI, ACI, ASTM, and project requirements.
- Oversee concrete/material testing, mix performance, and product inspections.
- Verify reinforcement, prestressing, embeds, dimensions, tolerances, and finished products meet specifications.
- Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and root-cause investigations.
- Partner with Production and Engineering to resolve quality and technical issues.
- Train and develop QC personnel while promoting a quality-focused culture.
- Identify opportunities to reduce rework, scrap, and production delays.
- Active PCI and ACI certifications — required.
- 5+ years of Quality Control/Quality Management experience in precast/prestressed concrete manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience managing QC personnel and plant quality programs.
- Strong knowledge of precast/prestressed production, concrete testing, mix designs, and material specifications.
- Experience with PCI plant audits and maintaining audit readiness.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, project specifications, and tolerances. - Experience with inspections, NCRs, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Proven ability to work effectively with Production and Engineering.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
A seasoned QC professional from the precast/prestressed concrete industry who understands the technical demands of plant operations and can step into a leadership role with minimal ramp-up time.
