The Supplier Quality Engineer manages supplier quality activities, including supplier controls, PPAP approval, defect resolution, audits, and compliance with customer and quality standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal teams to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.

The Supplier Quality Engineer manages supplier quality activities, including supplier controls, PPAP approval, defect resolution, audits, and compliance with customer and quality standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal teams to ensure product quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier audits and supplier development initiatives.
  • Review and approve PPAP documentation.
  • Track, investigate, and resolve supplier quality issues.
  • Support new product launches and production readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor supplier scorecards and quality metrics.
  • Support receiving inspection and containment activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with supplier quality, PPAP, automotive manufacturing, and audits.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, GD&T, blueprint reading, and process auditing.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and Microsoft Office skills.
Required Skills
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with automotive manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
Pay range and compensation package

Office and manufacturing setting. Requires 10-25% travel for supplier audits and visits. Must follow all safety and PPE requirements.
