The Supervisor, Quality Control is responsible for leading activities related to in-process and finished product inspection, product release, and associated quality records (including Batch Records and Device History Records). This role provides direct leadership to a team of quality inspectors, ensuring timely product release, regulatory compliance, and effective identification and escalation of quality issues. The position plays a key role in maintaining product quality while supporting manufacturing efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
This position reports to the Senior Manager - Manufacturing Quality and is part of the Quality & Regulatory Affairs organization located in Indianapolis, IN. This will be an on-site role.
- Ensure all in-process and final product inspection activities are executed in accordance with approved procedures, specifications, sampling plans, and applicable requirements.
- Review and approve inspection results and quality documentation to support disposition and release decisions for finished products
- Ensure quality issues identified during inspection activities are appropriately documented, escalated, investigated, and resolved.
- Own and continuously improve inspection procedures, work instructions, and visual standards using data, customer feedback, audit findings, process performance metrics, and employee feedback
- Lead, coach, train, and develop quality inspection personnel, including performance management, staffing, training effectiveness, procedural compliance, and employee engagement activities
- High school degree
- 8+ years' experience (or 5+ years with Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years with Master’s degree) in Quality Control, Quality Inspection, Quality Assurance, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, or Quality Systems within regulated industries.
- Excellent time management, organization skills and working with own initiative.
- Effective interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
