Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Scientist to support our analytical laboratory operations, focusing on HPLC/LC method transfers. The successful candidate will utilize the Empower chromatography data system to execute method transfer protocols, perform analytical testing, and document analytical data in a GMP-regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute HPLC/LC method transfer protocols using the Empower CDS.

  • Perform sample and reagent preparation, and conduct analytical testing activities.

  • Complete analytical runs, replicates, and protocol-defined verification testing.

  • Review chromatographic data to ensure results meet established acceptance criteria.

  • Document testing activities and results in compliance with GMP requirements.

  • Support method verification, report generation, and transfer documentation.

  • Complete required training for DEA-controlled substance handling and testing.

  • Assist with the implementation of additional analytical methods and laboratory expansion.

  • Support increased testing capacity through routine laboratory testing activities.

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Development, IT, and site personnel for successful project execution.

  • Participate in laboratory status meetings and provide project updates.

  • Support final reporting, knowledge transfer, and project closeout activities.

Essential Skills

  • Hands-on HPLC/LC laboratory testing experience.

  • Experience with Empower chromatography data system.

  • Ability to execute analytical test methods following approved protocols and SOPs.

  • Experience in preparing samples, standards, mobile phases, and reagents.

  • Ability to review chromatographic data and interpret analytical results.

  • Understanding of method transfer, verification, and reproducibility requirements.

  • Experience in a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.

  • Ability to maintain accurate laboratory documentation and data integrity.

  • Knowledge of laboratory investigations, deviations, and quality systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple testing priorities while ensuring high-quality execution.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or analytical laboratories.

  • Minimum 2+ years of hands-on HPLC/LC testing experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or a related scientific discipline preferred.

  • Experience with DEA-controlled substance testing or willingness to complete qualifications preferred.

  • Experience supporting method transfer, method validation, or method verification projects preferred.

  • Knowledge of FDA GMP regulations and laboratory compliance requirements.

  • Proficiency with laboratory documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Experience supporting laboratory scale-up, increased testing capacity, or new method implementation is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is onsite at a dedicated facility, offering a fast-paced laboratory environment with changing priorities. The work involves collaboration across multiple departments, ensuring a dynamic and supportive team atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Clinton, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
