Responsibilities- Provide statistical leadership and technical expertise in multi‑disciplinary or cross‑functional projects.
- Assess and introduce new statistical technology and methodology, including frequentist and Bayesian techniques, to broaden practice.
- Design and analyze in‑vitro and in‑vivo experiments, developing study designs and analysis plans in collaboration with biologists and researchers.
- Consult on specialized biomarker analyses (RNA expression, single‑cell RNA, NGS, protein, imaging) in conjunction with pre‑clinical and clinical data.
- Develop visualizations to explain complex results and interactions.
- Provide statistical direction on priority discovery projects and oversee contracted statistical analyst support.
- Maintain currency with statistical methodology, justifying selected methods.
- Perform peer review of work products from other statistical colleagues.
- Collaborate with team members to write reports and communicate results via internal governance, manuscripts, or oral presentations.
- Respond to regulatory queries and interact with regulators.
- Lead projects independently and work effectively across functions, influencing business decisions.
- Ph.D. in Statistics or Biostatistics.
- Experience in oncology research is preferred.
- Expertise in study design, mixed models, multivariate analysis, design of experiments, multiplicity control, and analysis of variance.
- Proficiency in statistical programming languages/software such as R, Python, SAS®, JMP®, etc.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving ability and critical thinking.
- Interpersonal communication skills for effective customer consultation and collaboration.
- Track record of developing and maintaining a statistical research area.
- Experience manipulating and analyzing large data sets.
- Knowledge or education in biology; skills in biological pathway/network analysis.
- Experience with predictive modeling and machine learning.
- Experience in high‑performance computing environment.
- Pre‑clinical, biomarker, genomics/genetics, or discovery research data experience (a plus).
The anticipated wage for this position is $151,500 – $244,200. Full‑time employees are also eligible for a company bonus (depending on company and individual performance).
