As a Microbiologist Summer Intern, in Indianapolis, IN, you will work alongside experienced scientists to support research projects focused on microbiology and biological sciences. This internship provides hands-on experience in an industry research environment while offering opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build your professional network.
- Assist with laboratory and research activities related to microbiology and biological sciences.
- Support experiment planning, sample preparation, data collection, and data analysis.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate research findings to project teams.
- Present project updates and a final summary of results to colleagues and peers.
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to Corteva's safety culture.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous laboratory or research experience is preferred.
- Experience with microbiological techniques, culturing, sample preparation, or laboratory analysis.
- Ability to interpret scientific data and communicate findings effectively.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and attention to detail.
