Assistant Manager - Restaurant Operations Join Our Team!
Are you a natural leader who loves creating great experiences for people? We're looking for an Assistant Manager to help run the show on the floor, in the kitchen, and at the counter - keeping our guests happy and our team performing at its best.
This is an hourly leadership position reporting to the General Manager and ownership.
What You'll Do Lead & Develop the Team- Complete our training path, including the Assistant Manager Development Plan, Basic Operations Training, Food Safety Certification, and Manager Certification
- Coach, mentor, and train team members so they grow and succeed in their roles
- Help with performance reviews and give team members the feedback they need to improve
- Plan shift assignments and communicate expectations clearly
- Build effective schedules that meet business needs and follow local labor law
- Step in with fair, consistent discipline when it's needed
- Make sure every guest is served with care and every order goes above and beyond
- Set the tone for a positive, high-energy culture and keep morale high through recognition
- Stay on top of guest and team feedback, concerns, or incidents, and respond quickly and respectfully
- Keep the General Manager in the loop on anything important
- Keep service speed, food quality, and cleanliness at the standard our guests expect
- Make sure the team follows all company guidelines and procedures every shift
- Stay compliant with applicable labor, health, and safety laws
- Use our management tools to keep accurate, up-to-date records
- Support sales forecasting and manage inventory so the restaurant stays stocked and running well
- Champion a safe workplace and make sure the team follows safety procedures
- Report any HR or risk concerns to leadership right away
- Stay flexible and pitch in wherever the shift needs you
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation
- Available at least 32 hours a week, with flexibility for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong leadership, organization, and people skills
- Prior leadership experience preferred, but not required
This role is active - you'll be on your feet and moving throughout the shift. It involves standing, walking, occasional bending and reaching (including step ladders), and regularly lifting up to 50 lbs. You'll need good hand coordination, clear communication skills, and the ability to work around varying kitchen temperatures and common food allergens. Reasonable accommodations are available.
