Food Service Lead
Every Food Service Lead is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the Food Service Department within company policy in such a manner as to ensure that the department is profitable and maintains the highest level of quality and customer service.
Responsibilities- General Management
- Ensures the food service department is open and ready for business during all scheduled hours.
- Schedules associates to meet business demands using a fixed schedule.
- Provides prompt and courteous service to all customers.
- Communicates effectively with store associates and management.
- Follows all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances pertaining to department operations.
- Provides a role model of conduct for other associates.
- Controls variable expenses of the department.
- Ensures all associates wear proper uniform and provide prompt, courteous customer service.
- Bookkeeping
- Ensures all paperwork is done accurately and timely.
- Maintains inventory and loss within company guidelines.
- Conducts inventories as directed by management.
- Ensures all associates properly record all hours worked.
- Human Resources
- Treats all associates with dignity and respect, using proper personnel management techniques.
- Ensures associates receive breaks.
- Advise Store Manager of any personnel situations or policy violations affecting store performance.
- Trains all new associates on proper completion of their job duties.
- Security
- Ensures all shift procedures are followed.
- Ensures a safe shopping and working environment.
- Ensures all safety rules are followed and protective equipment is used.
- Merchandising
- Ensures current sign program is posted on the correct date.
- Uses current planograms.
- Communicates special needs or requests to the Division Manager.
- Orders merchandise to prevent out‑of‑stock situations and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Maintenance
- Ensures the food service appearance reflects company expectations and standards.
- Maintains all display cases and glass in a clean condition.
- Reports any maintenance problems requiring assistance to the Store Manager.
- Maintains all food service areas clean and follows sanitation procedures.
- Safety
- Ensures ladders are properly used.
- Ensures lifting procedures are followed per company policy.
- Ensures wet floor signs are used per company policy.
- Reports accidents promptly to the Store Manager and corporate office.
- Huck’s Bucks Loyalty App
- Promotes the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers.
- Communicates benefits of signing up and using the app.
- Monitors transactions for potential misuse of points or discounts.
- Assists customers in signing up and using the app for discounts and redemption.
