ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Customer Satisfaction: Provides prompt and excellent customer service in a courteous, friendly, and attentive manner. Greets customers upon entry, assists with suggestions or recommendations, and thanks them upon exit. Rings up all sales on the cash register accurately, handling money, checks, and other payment types. Operates fuel console, lottery machines, money order machine, telecom transactions, and other multifunction equipment. Reports to work on time and follows dress and appearance code.
  • Facility Condition: Maintains store cleanliness and equipment to company/brand standards by performing general housekeeping duties inside and outside the store. Inspects facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper operation, notifying the Store Manager of any failures or maintenance needs.
  • Merchandising: Completes build‑to’s for ordering/purchasing merchandise. Receives and verifies vendor deliveries. Maintains adequate stock throughout the store and counter areas, rotates stock appropriately, and places advertising and pricing signage inside or outside the facility.
  • Sales Controls: Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses. Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits.
  • Financial Controls: Keeps accurate cash, sales, and inventory control records, accounts for variances, and notifies the Store Manager of any sales, cash, or inventory discrepancies. Follows guidelines for product breakage or spoilage.
  • Security Controls: Reports all incidents, including employee or customer injuries, theft, property damage, or improper sanitation or waste disposal, as well as any unsafe, unlawful, or unethical conduct.
  • Administrative: Keeps an accurate record of shift and timekeeping paperwork, takes inventory of supplies and equipment, attends job‑related meetings (may require irregular hours), maintains predictable onsite attendance, and performs other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Accurate operation of various equipment, including cash registers, scanners, beverage dispensers, and related tools.
  • Ability to work the scheduled shifts and arrive to work on time.
  • Clear communication of information and ideas.
  • Perform basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Able to perform the essential duties and physical functions described below.
  • Capable of working in the conditions described below.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The role requires exposure to cold or warm temperature extremes and occasional work in a walk‑in cooler or freezer. Employees may need to lift or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead, or up to 50 pounds from ground to waist, push or pull with arms up to 20 pounds, reach overhead, bend and twist at the waist, stand and walk for an entire shift, and possibly climb a ladder for signage removal or storage.

WORK

ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed predominantly indoors (~95% of the time) with occasional outdoor activities such as cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, and garbage removal. Employees may be exposed to extreme cold temperatures and occasional noise. The position is largely independent with periodic supervision.
