The Allocation Analyst provides a compelling assortment of the right product, to the right stores, in the right quantities, with the right sizes, for the right prices, at the right time, to maximize sales. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Line’s core values of Customer, People, Winning, Community, and Financial Responsibility in everything they do while performing the following main duties:
Works with Buyers to determine the best stores to Allocate product to.
Writes new purchase orders, giving size breaks and recommending quantities to Buyers.
Ensures every store receives the best possible product assortment.
Allocates replenishment product based on many metrics, including sales history, WOS, margins and capacity.
Checks yard lists, picking, and record receipts.
Performs transfers and consolidations.
Sets up new store assortments and executes Remodeled Stores Plans.
Communicates regularly with store management regarding product concerns and opportunities.
Additional duties and projects as required.
Required
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Additional 3-5 years of previous merchandising/allocation experience required.
Required Computer and/or Technical SkillsShould have at least intermediate knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Talk and/or hear
Stand for up to 4 hours at a time regularly
Walk or move from one location to another
Periodically may need to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Punctuality and regular attendance consistent with the company’s policies are required for this position.
The average work week is 40-50 hours, which can vary depending on business needs.
The work environment for this position is a moderately noisy office setting.
