Ace Hardware Opening for a Part-time Cashier / Associate

Must be available Saturday and Sunday for 8 hour shift, 7:45am
-4pm & 12pm - 8pm, 16 hrs a week, pay starts at $13-$14 hour.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cashier / Associate to provide excellent service, manage transactions accurately, and help create a deliciously positive shopping experience. Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly upon arrival and departure
• Manage transactions efficiently using a cash register and POS system
• Ensure pricing and quantities are accurate when scanning goods
• Accept payments via cash, credit, or check and provide receipts
• Balance the cash register at the end of shifts
• Bag and wrap purchased goods carefully for safe transport
• Process returns, refunds, and resolve customer complaints with a positive attitude
• Upsell and cross-sell products when appropriate to enhance customer experience
• Stocking and restocking of items
• Unloading truck shipments
• Managing online orders
• Guiding customers to products in the store and providing information on products
• Placing in store customer orders
• Responsible for cleanliness of store

Qualifications & Skills

• High school degree or equivalent
• Experience with POS systems and cash registers preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong math skills and ability to multitask
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle complaints effectively and professionally
