Veterinary Sales Representative, Asheville, NC territory
Your role:
Face of Elanco in Asheville. Own strategy to build relationships with veterinary customers. Manage territory during historic launch. Provide guidance, collaborate with distributors and associations.
- Accomplish Sales & Business Objectives:
Guide sales to meet/exceed goals by developing and executing the territory business plan, focusing on product placement and key account growth. - Build Strong Customer Relationships:
Establish and grow relationships with the entire veterinary hospital team through daily calls, understanding their needs, and becoming a trusted advisor. - Guide Product & Market Strategy:
Launch new products, educate customers on the Elanco portfolio versus competitors, and use data analytics to identify territory opportunities. - Collaborate & Influence:
Provide guidance to distributor representatives, act as a liaison with local veterinary medical associations, align efforts, and represent Elanco at key meetings.
- Education:
Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with equivalent experience. - Experience:
Minimum 2 years in companion animal veterinary pharmaceutical sales or equivalent fast‑paced B2B selling. - Top
Skills:
Team‑first mindset, strong relationship building, dedication to succeed. - License & Authorization:
Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Proven ability to influence without authority and motivate diverse audiences through strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen, strategic thinking, and decision‑making in ambiguous situations.
- Excellent planning and execution skills with a proven track record of managing a sales territory.
- In‑depth knowledge of the companion animal market, including Elanco and competitor products.
- Advanced degree in business (e.g., MBA).
- Travel: 25‑50% annually, primarily for district and national meetings.
- Location:
US Remote – field‑based covering Asheville, NC. Candidate must reside within the territory or be willing to relocate. - Benefits:
