Role Overview

Account Executives sell Rentokil’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing commercial customers across a range of sectors, including hospitality, food & beverage processing, healthcare, and retail.

Responsibilities
  • Create new business opportunities through cold calling, prospecting, networking, leads, referrals, and cross‑selling.
  • Visually inspect buildings for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and related issues.
  • Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance plans to commercial customers based on assessment findings.
  • Develop territory strategies to exceed sales targets.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Rentokil’s programs, protocols, pricing policies, and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to maximize growth opportunities and ensure delivery of outstanding service solutions.
  • Complete daily activities and track sales performance using the company sales CRM.
Essential Job Functions
  • Lift up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently; move, carry, push, pull, or reposition objects.
  • Move around extensively: sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as needed.
  • Navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles while maintaining balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces.
  • Handle various pests (spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents, etc.) and access confined spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics.
  • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle and related equipment safely.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including an OSHA‑compliant respirator, when required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the state of residence.
  • Strong social, customer‑service, and communication skills.
  • At least two years of B2B sales experience; proficiency in prospecting, cold calling, lead generation, and networking preferred.
  • Self‑motivated “hunter” mentality with the ability to work independently.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain any required industry licenses, which will be sponsored by the company.
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of time within assigned territory(s).
    Travel may include overnight or extended stays as needed.
