Location: Indianapolis

The Community Adjustment Support Staff's primary responsibility is to provide administrative support for the Community Adjustment Program.

Responsibilities
  • Meet with families and youth after court to review conditions of release and hook up electronic monitoring (EM) equipment.
  • Review phone services and court orders to ensure EM equipment operates properly.
  • Physically attach the monitor to the youth’s ankle and explain equipment setup to the parent/guardian.
  • Initiate investigations of potential violations of EM conditions reported by the monitoring center and determine which situations require follow‑up from field officers.
  • Contact families to answer questions and alerts, assisting parents and youth with monitoring compliance.
  • Handle phone inquiries and schedule changes from program participants and record them in the case‑management system.
  • Serve as liaison between the Community Adjustment field officers and the assigned probation officers.
  • Input and update information on various computer systems; generate forms and reports from the database.
  • Work independently during work hours, collaborating with Intake operations as needed.
  • Communicate with the court, outside agencies, and the public in a professional, respectful manner; assist with other projects and duties as directed by the unit supervisor.
Qualifications
  • General knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work with others at many levels and create a TEAM environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively with deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience in dealing effectively with other professionals and the public.
Education and Experience
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or HSE.
  • Associate Degree or higher preferred – salary enhancements available for an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.


* The hours for the position are first shift Monday through Friday, 8a-4:30p.*

Bi-lingual enhancement for proven Spanish, Burmese, Haitian Creole speaking skills.
