About the Role
Neo4j is seeking an experienced, strategic, and entrepreneurial leader to own, scale, and transform our sales operations and market presence across India and South Asia.
As the RVP, India Sales, you will act as the Country Sales Lead, designing and executing our comprehensive regional enterprise sales strategy to drive aggressive ARR growth. This is a critical executive leadership role requiring a blend of strategic market expansion, complex SaaS enterprise deal orchestration, deep technical alignment (Graph+GenAI data platforms), and people leadership. You will lead the local direct sales team while collaborating closely with the India‑based GSI team to ensure Neo4j dominates the enterprise data architecture market across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise sales strategy for India and South Asia.
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of sales professionals, setting clear performance expectations, targets, and a high‑performance culture of excellence.
- Accelerate regional ARR growth by driving active co‑sell motions with global/regional system integrators and cloud hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Collaborate closely with the channels & alliances team to effectively leverage partner networks for large enterprise wins.
- Identify net‑new growth opportunities and emerging enterprise trends.
- Develop and implement localised market expansion plans, pioneering new industry verticals (e.g., BFSI, Supply Chain) and establishing Neo4j as the enterprise standard.
- Foster, secure, and maintain deep, long‑term relationships with key enterprise clients.
- Act as the executive sponsor on strategic deals, ensuring high client satisfaction, platform adoption, and account expansion.
- Manage and optimise regional sales operations, utilising data‑driven insights and modern sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC) to continually improve sales velocity and win rates.
- Manage the regional sales budget, including strict cost control, strategic resource allocation, and rigorous financial planning to ensure all sales efforts align with budgetary constraints.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA or MSc) is highly preferred.
- 15+ years of enterprise software sales leadership experience (SaaS/Cloud/Data/AI), with a proven track record of driving hyper‑growth and closing multi‑million dollar enterprise agreements.
- Deep, existing network and credibility within the C‑suite and executive leadership levels of major enterprises across the India and South Asia market.
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and coaching high‑performing enterprise sales teams, with a heavy focus on performance coaching and strategic talent development.
- Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and cross‑functional orchestration skills. Strong executive presence with the ability to navigate complex, highly matrixed internal and external organisations seamlessly.
