Position Overview
Capital Equipment Sales role for Roche in the New York City metropolitan area, focusing on hospital and reference laboratory accounts.
Responsibilities- Meet and exceed sales objectives in targeted accounts.
- Develop customer prospects and maintain relationships with decision makers.
- Conduct minimum 10–15 in-person sales calls per week to existing and prospective customers.
- Prepare and present value-quantification presentations and contract proposals.
- Identify and develop strategic account plans, deliver differentiated messages, and negotiate sales.
- Provide education and product awareness to customers.
- Implement strategic initiatives to drive capital equipment sales and productivity.
- Coordinate territory planning and routing for efficiency.
- Communicate market information internally and share best practices with peers.
- Maintain existing business and pursue new opportunities to achieve sales goals and growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant sales experience or equivalent.
- Experience in sales of clinical laboratory or related products (preferred).
- Strong understanding of Roche’s product lines (chemistry, immunoassay, middleware, lab automation).
- Ability to travel within the territory; residency within 50 miles of the territory required.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
Salary range: $91,000 – $169,900. Eligible for incentive compensation as per the Incentive Compensation Plan. Benefits information is available through Roche’s internal portal.
LocationNew York City metropolitan area – Nassau and Suffolk areas. Residency within 50 miles required. Relocation benefits not offered.
