Role Description

The Inside Sales Representative is a full-time, on-site role based in Tipton, IN. This position is responsible for managing inbound and outbound customer inquiries, preparing quotes, processing orders, and providing product information for high performance alloys and related services. Day-to-day tasks include maintaining relationships with existing accounts, identifying new sales opportunities, and coordinating with production and operations teams to ensure accurate lead times and delivery commitments.

The role also involves tracking opportunities in a CRM or similar system, following up on leads, and supporting customers with technical and commercial questions to ensure a positive buying experience. The Inside Sales Representative contributes to revenue growth by understanding customer needs, recommending appropriate material solutions, and promoting HPAlloys’ full range of products and services.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated Inside Sales experience with a focus on technical or industrial products.
  • Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction skills, with the ability to build trust and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Experience in Lead Generation and prospecting to identify and qualify new business opportunities.
  • Account Management skills, including managing orders, follow-ups, and ongoing communication with key customers.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts in accessible terms.
  • Comfort with using CRM systems, email, and standard office software to manage sales activities and documentation.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to handle multiple quotes, orders, and customer requests simultaneously.
  • Background in metals, manufacturing, engineering, or a related industrial field is beneficial.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, sales, or technical disciplines is a plus.
