The Rare Neurology Medical Account Specialist (MS) engages Neurology specialists and key stakeholders across diverse care settings within an assigned geography. The MS delivers clinically focused messaging to drive revenue and achieve product goals, demonstrating ownership, initiative, and compliant, integrity-driven performance.
This role involves developing and executing account strategies to grow market share, building relationships with clinicians, nurses, and patient advocacy groups, and collaborating with cross‑functional partners to address customer needs and market dynamics. The MS also supports sales success through participation in congresses, regional meetings, and industry events.

- Engage rare neurology experts and other key customers within an assigned geography and deliver clinically focused selling messages to launch product and grow brand share and revenue.
- Partner with multiple stakeholders (Reimbursement and Access Specialists, etc.) to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics and trends and develop strategies supporting brand objectives.
- Develop strong working relationships with customers, internal contacts, and advocacy groups.
- Conduct market profiling activities to understand local health‑care delivery, influencers, and payer systems.
- Maintain deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets.
- Apply strategic account selling and management skills; develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to achieve objectives.
- Ensure all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available products (“total account call”).
- Develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts in the rare neurology therapeutic area to establish, generate and expand market share.
- Identify business opportunities and coordinate effort within the account team.
- Gather and integrate information from stakeholders within the account (business model, metrics, challenges, goals).
- Bachelor’s degree mandatory;
Master’s or additional advanced education/certifications a plus. - Minimum 5 years of successful experience in neurology sales and specialty/biologic/REMS products; launch experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years working with key thought leaders or high‑influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations in neurology.
- Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments, operating with high integrity within compliance guidelines.
- Results oriented with a proven record of success with product launches.
- Strong account management experience with analytical, problem‑solving, and planning skills.
- Current account management experience in calling on large neurology group practices or integrated delivery networks.
- Strong understanding of the neurology therapeutic area and current market.
$158,950 - $220,000
