As a Territory Manager, your primary responsibility is to drive business results within your defined geographical region, including marketing, sales, and service coordination. The role involves a mix of direct sales, dealer sales, and distributor sales, requiring regular travel (60%–80% of the time) and strategic face‑to‑face sales calls to enhance Integral dx’s overall sales opportunities. You will build senior‑level relationships with key customers and identify and enhance sales opportunities.
Responsibilitiesand Essential Job Functions
- Research current market to develop and maintain accurate regional contact database and build relationships to determine sales opportunities.
- Contact and meet regularly with current and prospective customers.
- Plan, execute, and follow up on product demonstrations.
- Understand product drawings, 3D models, and bills of material to present products and proposals; liaise with engineering and manufacturing on complex questions.
- Prepare, review, and present sales proposals; coordinate with engineering and manufacturing for accurate data; proposals require approval by Integral dx Quote Committee.
- Gain working knowledge of MRP to assist in managing, prospecting, and closing sales opportunities.
- Conduct new product delivery training and promote aftermarket offerings including service part sales.
- Coordinate warranty and/or service work within the region; perform light service for Territory Manager as needed.
- Participate in developing and executing marketing strategies for the territory.
- Participate in regional and national trade shows; lead follow‑up efforts; assist with exhibitor list preparation.
- Participate in business planning and budget planning.
- Train new Territory Managers as needed.
- Travel within the territory and provide weekly activity summary reports to Management.
- Achieve and maintain proficiency in manufacturing and engineering terminology.
- Read and interpret documents; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.
- Use Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
- Be technologically advanced on smart devices.
- Have knowledge of machinery, equipment, material, bill of materials, etc.
- Utilize strong active listening skills.
- Multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
- Or any combination of education and experience that provides necessary skills for successful performance.
