The Aloft Indianapolis Downtown is seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Coordinator to support our Director of Sales & Marketing in driving business growth and maintaining exceptional customer relationships. This position plays a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the sales department and assisting with the development and implementation of sales strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

- Sales Support: Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in managing the daily operations of the sales department, including preparing proposals, contracts, and correspondence for prospective clients.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain and update customer databases, assist in lead generation, and track customer communications.
- Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of events, meetings, and group bookings, ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction.
- Sales Administration: Prepare and process reports, track sales performance, assist in the creation of marketing materials, and ensure that client data is accurately entered into the CRM system.
- Market Research: Assist in identifying new sales opportunities, analyze competitor activity, and contribute to the development of strategies to grow market share.
- Communication: Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth delivery of services to clients.
- Reporting: Track sales leads, opportunities, and performance metrics to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Customer Service Excellence: Handle inquiries and provide timely responses to clients while maintaining a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Experience: Previous experience in a sales or customer service role in the hospitality industry is required.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Delphi, Lighthouse or the ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for hospitality.
- Additional Qualifications:
- This is a Monday to Friday position; however, the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, may be required based on business needs.
