Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
Mobile Specialty Vehicles | Wakarusa, Indiana
About the Opportunity
Mobile Specialty Vehicles (MSV) is looking for an experienced
Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
to help lead the next stage of our growth.
This is more than a traditional sales role.
We're looking for someone who can develop new business, build meaningful long-term relationships, represent MSV across the industries we serve, and become a visible leader for the company with customers, industry organizations and strategic partners.
MSV designs and manufactures purpose-built commercial specialty vehicles serving mobile healthcare, diagnostic imaging, veterinary care, public safety, command and communications, emergency response, and other specialized applications.
Our markets are evolving quickly. Healthcare delivery is becoming increasingly decentralized. Significant investment is being made in rural healthcare infrastructure. Technology that once required a traditional facility is becoming mobile. And organizations across multiple industries are looking for new ways to take sophisticated capabilities directly into the field.
We believe that creates significant opportunity for MSV and for the right person joining our organization.
What You’ll DoThe Director of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships will help drive MSV’s commercial growth while developing and strengthening the relationships that support it.
Responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute business-development strategies across MSV’s existing and emerging markets.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of new customers and strategic opportunities.
- Develop long-term relationships with health systems, hospitals, Community Health Centers, healthcare organizations, government agencies, commercial customers and other prospective buyers.
- Develop relationships with OEMs, equipment manufacturers, dealers, industry organizations and other strategic partners.
- Represent MSV at conferences, trade shows, industry meetings, customer presentations and other external events.
- Become a knowledgeable and credible voice in the markets MSV serves, particularly mobile healthcare and specialty commercial vehicles.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, funding initiatives and industry trends that can create new demand for MSV products.
- Work directly with customers to understand their mission, operational requirements and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with MSV’s engineering, estimating and manufacturing teams to translate customer requirements into scalable, purpose-built vehicle solutions.
- Lead opportunities through complex, consultative sales cycles from initial relationship through proposal, contract and production.
- Build strategic partnerships and channels capable of creating repeatable and scalable business opportunities.
- Maintain disciplined CRM practices, pipeline management, forecasting and customer follow-up.
- Help communicate MSV’s capabilities, market expertise and value proposition to customers and industry stakeholders.
- Strengthen existing customer and industry relationships while expanding MSV’s presence nationally.
We’re looking for a business developer and relationship builder with executive presence
, not simply someone who can sell a product.
The right candidate will be comfortable walking into a healthcare executive’s office, representing MSV at a national industry conference, discussing a complex application with our engineering team, developing a strategic partnership, and following an opportunity through to completion.
Experience in one or more of the following would be particularly valuable:
- Specialty or commercial vehicles
- Mobile healthcare
- Healthcare capital equipment
