General Hotels Corporation is looking for a Hotel Sales Task Force Manager to support the sales team. The Hotel Sales Task Force Manager is a results-driven, highly adaptable sales professional responsible for providing immediate, short-term sales leadership and business development at properties experiencing staffing transitions, rapid market shifts, or performance gaps.
This role requires a proactive "hunter" mentality to step seamlessly into a property, assess local market conditions, stabilize key accounts, and aggressively drive revenue across corporate, group, and extended-stay segments. This position requires heavy travel and the ability to rapidly deploy a property within our management portfolio.
Core Responsibilities Revenue Generation & Proactive Prospecting- Drive immediate room night and catering revenue to meet or exceed monthly property budgets.
- Conduct aggressive outbound sales activities, including high-volume cold calling, local networking, property tours, and outside sales calls.
- Target and convert high-value accounts within core workforce segments, including manufacturing, construction, industrial services, corporate relocations, and sports groups.
- Manage and optimize Local Negotiated Rate (LNR) accounts, ensuring seamless onboarding and production tracking.
- Deploy on short notice to fill critical sales vacancies (e.g., Director of Sales or Sales Manager roles) and ensure zero lapse in market coverage.
- Conduct rapid market assessments to identify immediate revenue opportunities, assess the pipeline and determine any demand shifts.
- Collaborate closely with General Managers and regional leadership to align property-level execution for any sales needs.
- Manage the group booking pace, finalize outstanding definite contracts, and handle time-sensitive catering and group inquiries with persistent follow‑up.
- Protect and cultivate existing top‑tier accounts to prevent a decrease in business volume during sales management transitions.
- Work collaboratively with property operations teams to ensure seamless execution of contracted group and catering business, maintaining high guest satisfaction.
- Deliver clean, high‑level transition reporting and pipeline metrics to regional leaders and ownership at the conclusion of each assignment.
- Ensure all sales activities, profiles, and traces are meticulously logged in the property management system (e.g., Delphi) for a seamless handover to permanent staff.
- Experience:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in Hotel Sales (Select‑Service preferred). Proven track record of exceeding sales budgets and quotas. - Adaptability:
Exceptional ability to enter unfamiliar markets, quickly identify demand drivers, and build instant rapport with clients and property teams. - Travel:
Ability to travel up to 80-90% of the time, often with short notice for a few days to a few weeks depending on the location. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with major hotel brand CRM systems (e.g., Hilton, Marriott, IHG platforms) and sales software like Delphi and FDC. - Communication:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
