Tempered and Specailty Metals (TSM) is seeking a
Regional Sales Representative located in the Ohio or Illinois Midwest region. The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for providing premier customer service to all current and potential customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. It is also the responsibility of the Regional Sales Representative to achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team at Tempered and Specialty Metals.

As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Regional Sales Representative. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
- Increase sales and provide support for current customer base as assigned.
- Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
- Promptly respond to Request for Quotes for current and potential customers.
- Coordinate workflow with company staff to achieve closing of sales quotes.
- Prospect new accounts and cold call on new potential business.
- Visit existing and prospective customers as needed or as requested.
- Meet annual sales goals set by Sales Manager, i.e., dollars booked, calls per day, and generation of new customers and profitability.
- Execute order entry in computer system immediately after order is taken.
- Proactively review open orders and advise customers of delivery status changes.
- Daily input of pertinent information, date, etc. in the CRM software program.
- Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns.
- Manage account services through follow-up and quality checks.
- Develop and maintain existing product knowledge and sales materials.
- Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing specific account pricing.
- Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with other sales representatives, management, and other co-workers.
- Adhere to all TSM safety rules, regulations, and quality standards, handbook policies, procedures, and codes of business ethics.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of sales experience
- Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Valid state driver’s license
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related area
- 4+ years of experience in sales and marketing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
- Marketing experience, ensuring ability to recognize opportunities
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasks
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to transfer data accurately
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, and suppliers
