Location: Indianapolis

Labcorp is seeking a Histology Technical Liaison to be responsible for communication and interface between the laboratory area, customer support areas, IT & S, and customers. This individual will serve as a technical and Labcorp expert and support sales with direct customer presentations and written communication.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new project start‑up and modification activities.
  • Review project specifications for content related to the specific department.
  • Ensure protocol review corresponds with project specification sheet details.
  • Communicate any issues with the Project Manager and Team Manager as required; invite feedback and input.
  • Coordinate with department and Medical Affairs; review specification sheets when solicited.
  • With project team members (PM, TA, TM), develop solutions, resolve issues and approve internal database loading/design plan.
  • Serve as accountable resource upon solicitation by team members.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications to design customized project documents and customize workflow for projects as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for peer‑reviewed scientific presentations; write abstracts and present data.
  • Support Sales with presentations to customers when requested.
  • Identify and capture opportunities to protect Labcorp’s intellectual property.
  • Maintain ongoing project coordination including global functions; communicate with Technical Manager, VP Medical Affairs, & Project Manager to resolve issues.
  • Modify customized documents as needed; communicate with Data Managers to resolve data transmission issues and perform data revisions.
  • Define unique supplies and order supplies unique to the project.
  • Serve as global protocol/project laboratory expert/resource; coordinate with IT & S on new project starts and instrumentation interfaces.
  • Interact with TELG regarding testing selection of test codes, reflexes, calculations, administrative questions, procedures, and Antrim or Zavacor issues.
  • Serve as a technical reference to facilitate project testing and QC requirements, analyze problems, and propose solutions.
  • During initial project start‑up, serve as resource to resolve procurement issues and communicate with Investigator Services.
  • Participate in continuing education programs, presenting to departmental staff, laboratory staff, or across the organization as required.
  • Respond to questions from inside and outside the department as a technical expert in designated areas.
  • Submit monthly reports to direct supervisor.
  • Attend functional team meetings as needed/requested.
  • Contribute to maintaining a high level of safety awareness and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform Senior Technologist duties as required.
  • Expand the sphere of influence and/or elevate the level of interaction for the department through service on multidisciplinary committees, projects, and other initiatives.
  • Share responsibility with management for promoting consistency in processes for global laboratories in test methods, database structures, and operation administration.
  • Research scientific literature and write technical letters for sponsors.
  • Participate in conference calls with/without Manager/Director with Project Managers, sponsors, and other customers.
  • Design, implement, and report special offline studies from sponsors.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Three or more months of Lab Corp laboratory experience or a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology, chemical, physical, or biological science with six or more months of laboratory experience in histology or a related specialty.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One or more years of Lab Corp laboratory experience in histology or other lab testing or project management.
  • Proven experience working with lab workflows, sample preparation, and testing coordination.
  • Exposure to cross‑functional collaboration with laboratory, project management, and scientific teams.
