Job Description
Rare career opportunity to work in a fast paced, safety 1st environment where you are an important part of our team. Great opportunity for someone looking to learn a valuable real-world trade/skill that all other trade schools in America are built upon yet never taught. This position is for someone capable of operating independently in the field, with a small team of 2-3 people.
Great opportunity for an entry level Geologist ready to get experience logging, classifying, soil and rock.
Core Responsibilities
- Load and unload drilling equipment, tools, and supplies each morning before traveling in a company ¾-ton truck to project sites.
- Follow and support drill rig operations throughout the day at active drilling locations.
- Assist with drilling borings and collecting soil samples for engineering and environmental investigations.
- Log and accurately record soil conditions and sample information from each boring location.
- Prepare, label, and organize soil samples in designated containers for testing and analysis.
- Maintain detailed field records and ensure all sampling documentation is complete and accurate.
- Return samples to the office daily for engineer review when working locally, or weekly when supporting out-of-town projects.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.

- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Acceptable criminal background history.

- Class A CDL with air brake endorsement preferred.
- Strong commitment to safety and the ability to follow company safety policies while identifying and avoiding hazards in changing field conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret basic site plans, maps, and related documents.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to work outdoors year-round in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
