Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer - Flex Intake Screening in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part‑Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform.

You will use screening tools, follow post procedures, communicate clearly with team members and site staff, and help identify security‑related concerns while delivering a welcoming customer‑service experience. - Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Conduct entry screening for employees, visitors, and/or vendors, including checking identification, verifying authorization, and monitoring walk‑through detectors and/or X‑ray equipment as assigned.
- Support inbound and outbound operations by monitoring access points for pedestrian and vehicle traffic, observing for unusual activity, and documenting discrepancies in accordance with post orders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including coordinating notifications and completing required incident reports.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with working environments and conditions that may vary by location and operational activity.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Being able to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Having X‑Ray screening experience is preferred.
- Having loss prevention experience is preferred.
- Having customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
