Security Officer Baggage Screening –
Indianapolis, IN

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.22 / Hour

Daytime Saturday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM
Sunday: 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and team members by carrying out screening procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen people, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and established screening protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document screening‑related activity, incidents, and/or irregularities in required logs and reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and reporting maintenance, access control, and other security‑related concerns.

• At least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Minimum age of 21 years.
• X‑ray screening experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen, within legal limits.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
