Security Officer - Flex

Job Summary

Sunstates Security is hiring Flex Security Officers for the Indianapolis, IN area. All shifts and days are available. The starting pay is $18.50 per hour with weekly pay.

• Train at various posts or facilities based on operational need; may work at a specific post for several weeks.
• Schedule (shifts, days off, hours per week) will vary based on operational need.
• Be assigned to or offered the opportunity to accept shifts as they become available due to staffing needs.
• Handle short‑notice call‑ins; expected to work at least 80% of requested shifts.
• Perform duties specified by Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures, reading and becoming knowledgeable of SOPs.

• Reliable transportation.
• Preferred one year of experience in security, military, or law enforcement.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Willing and able to work holidays, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
• Must regularly stand or walk for extended periods of time and distance.
• Exceptional report writing skills.
• Ability to mentally analyze a situation, solve problems, and make decisions under pressure.
• Able to work independently.
• Ability to read, understand written instruction, and communicate information clearly and concisely.

High School diploma or equivalent.
