Job Description

Security Officer Entry Screening – Owensville, IN. As a Security Officer Entry Screening you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as utilities and more. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support a professional, welcoming experience. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help deter security‑related incidents through strong communication and attention to detail.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day/Time:
Wednesday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Thursday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Saturday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Sunday 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You’ll Do
  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in support of access to restricted and sensitive areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following post orders and escalating concerns to the appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, operational areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security‑related concerns.
  • Support daily security‑related operations by maintaining accurate logs, communicating clearly with site contacts and/or emergency services, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
Minimum Requirements
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
