Job DescriptionA Security Officer Screening Clerk in Indianapolis, IN
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution. This part‑time role allows you to build a flexible schedule and explore new responsibilities using our Claim a Shift platform. You will help monitor access points, screen visitors and team members, and support loss prevention activities. The position combines customer service, communication, and security awareness to maintain a smooth operation.

Job Schedule- Mon 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Fri 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Sat 11:00 PM – 07:00 AM
- Provide customer service by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with site protocols and reporting guidelines.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, problem‑solving and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Monitor entry points, verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report unusual activity or policy violations in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs (preferred).
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
- Access control and badge experience (preferred).
- Customer service experience (preferred).
- Loss prevention experience (preferred).
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Background investigation required in accordance with all applicable laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Drug screen required to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
