ResponsibilitiesThis position supports the security and operational integrity of Navy‑related facilities and programs. The individual will assist in implementing and maintaining security measures that protect personnel, information, property, and mission‑critical operations, consistent with Department of the Navy and DoD security requirements. Duties include supporting physical, information, and personnel security functions.
- Demonstrate the experience, training, and capability to follow detailed instructions and to read, comprehend, and apply a broad range of security regulations, policies, and procedures relevant to Navy operations.
- Show the ability—either through demonstrated experience or endorsements—to learn and perform required security tasks associated with this position.
- Apply working knowledge of security classification principles, access eligibility requirements, and the processes for granting, verifying, or maintaining personnel security clearances.
- Support information, personnel, and physical security activities.
- Assist with inspections, incident reviews, and information‑gathering activities that help ensure compliance with Navy security policies and mission‑support requirements.
- Evaluate factors such as facility layout, access controls, equipment availability, personnel roles, and other operational considerations that inform security recommendations and decision‑making in a Navy environment.
- A minimum of one year of experience in Physical Security (PHYSEC) and Information Security (INFOSEC) in the DoD or IC.
- Experience with ICD‑705 compliance or similar security compliance documentation.
- A minimum Secret security clearance or higher is required to be considered for this position.
- A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
