Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Access Control in Owensville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a utilities location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, and communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and contractors. You will maintain a visible presence, support security-related operations, and help deter incidents while delivering exceptional service.

- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and visitors by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor and contractor passes, and maintain accurate access‑control records.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized entry, suspicious activity, and security‑related concerns.
- Support compliance with site access requirements for restricted operational areas, including coordinating entry for authorized personnel and/or vehicles.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
