Security Account Manager – Burns Harbor, Indiana
Titan Security is currently hiring a Security Account Manager to work at a location in Burns Harbor, Indiana. The position reports to the Director of Operations and is primarily responsible for supervising the day‑to‑day security operations of assigned client sites.
Responsibilities- Manage a team of Security Officers, Site and Shift Supervisors, including hiring/selection, scheduling, payroll, training, coaching, development and support.
- Ensure the client site is provided with high‑quality security services to protect people and property.
- Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with both clients and employees.
- Coordinate necessary support services to manage client sites in order to meet or exceed financial and operational goals and provide quality customer service.
- Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
- Conduct annual reviews for on‑site staff.
- Monitor the quality of staff performance, including coordinating and conducting exit interviews, assisting with unemployment claim reviews, disciplinary action recommendations, and maintaining a regular performance appraisal program for all staff.
- Coordinate and document performance tracking of all staff personnel.
- Maintain and ensure the integrity of personnel files and workforce management systems in collaboration with Account/Operations Managers and the HR department.
- Support the HR department in the review of involuntary terminations, union grievances and appeals.
- Support the Director of Operations and HR in hiring, training and onboarding.
- Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities and account trends.
- Track company equipment in the field, including technology, vehicles, etc., ensuring it is utilized in accordance with applicable policies.
- Stay current on federal, state and local CBA guidelines related to services.
- Support the organization’s culture, processes, practices and systems to ensure that the company and its clients receive high‑quality service.
- Prepare correspondence and memos as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or
Experience:
Preferred degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement Management, or a related field and/or equivalent education/experience. Minimum of 10 years of managerial and policy‑making experience in the law enforcement or contract security field, with extensive internal contacts within the local law enforcement community. Previous MARSEC, NRC, and industrial facility security experience preferred.
Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
Preferred
Certifications:
CPP certification (ASIS), OSHA‑30, FEMA IC 700, MARSEC FSO Certification.
Physical Demands: Candidates must be able to stand for extended periods, lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs., accommodate foot patrols on the interior and exterior of the assigned facility, and perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather.
Salary & Benefits: Base salary $85,000 based on experience plus discretionary year‑end bonus, paid vacation and personal days, medical insurance, dental insurance, life and AD&D insurance, paid holidays, 401(k) match, and skills‑enhancing training and career‑growth opportunities.
