Security Officer - Driving

As a Security Officer Patrol Driving Role in Mount Vernon, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, access-control concerns, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, gates, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access for employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site requirements, including verifying credentials and directing individuals to authorized areas.
• Document patrol activities, incidents, observations, and maintenance or operational concerns accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
