Location: Indianapolis

Capitol City Ford is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Diesel Technician to join our Ford Truck Service Team. This role focuses on the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of Ford diesel-powered trucks, including Super Duty and commercial fleet vehicles.

As a technician on our Truck Team, you’ll work under the leadership of a seasoned Truck Team Foreman, who will help coordinate workflow, support technical development, and ensure high repair quality in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on Ford diesel engines and systems, including Power Stroke engines.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance and safety inspections per Ford guidelines.
  • Utilize Ford factory diagnostic tools (e.g., IDS, FDRS) for troubleshooting and programming.
  • Work collaboratively with the Truck Team Foreman and fellow technicians to meet daily productivity and quality goals.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge through Ford-provided training and technical resources.
  • Accurately document the work performed and communicate any additional service needs.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a diesel technician, preferably with Ford or in a dealership setting.
  • Strong understanding of diesel systems, emissions controls, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Familiarity with Ford tools, service procedures, and software is a strong plus.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ford or ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain through dealership training programs).
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
