Pipe Foreman

Position Summary

JL Wesley is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility crews on commercial site development projects.

This role is responsible for overseeing installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to grade.

The Pipe Foreman will lead crews, coordinate with project managers, and ensure high-quality production in the field.

• Lead and supervise pipe crews in installation of storm, sanitary, and water systems
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
• Ensure pipe is installed to proper line and grade using lasers and levels
• Coordinate daily work activities with operators and laborers
• Plan trenching, bedding, and backfill operations
• Install structures including manholes, catch basins, and hydrants
• Monitor production rates and job progress
• Communicate with project managers and site superintendents
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
• Train and mentor crew members

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in pipe laying and underground utility operations
• Proven leadership experience managing crews
• Strong knowledge of storm, sanitary, and water systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes
• Experience working around heavy equipment and active job sites
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
