Field Service Maintenance Technician

We are currently seeking an adventurous and diligent Field Service Maintenance Technician. This role will provide exciting opportunities to work for a multifaceted company in a fast-paced, growing industry.

This role does require travel to our customer facilities. We provide a company vehicle and all gas expenses are paid for.

Job Responsibilities
  • Traveling to customer sites to install and perform preventative maintenance inspections on machine tool equipment. (Company provided vehicle & gas for travel paid for by the company)
  • Using on-line technical documents, how-to videos and checklists to provide guidance on all maintenance procedures
  • Ensuring accurate documentation is completed and submitted to office and customer in regards to status of services provided
  • Training in maintenance procedures is part of the on-boarding process. Prior CNC experience is a plus, but not required
Other Functions:
  • Perform related duties as required

Job Qualifications and Proficiencies:

Demonstrated ability in mechanical or electrical repair and/or maintenance

Ability to read and interpret procedures and how-to guides

Software experience, like Microsoft office, is a plus (this position does require the use of a laptop, smart phone and various software applications)

Excellent communication skills are a must.

The CNC Technician must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, regularly lifting 40-50 pounds.

Reliability is a must

This position requires flexible hours and frequent travel and driving throughout a regional territory. You will be dispatched each day from your home, and then travel to customer's sites to work.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be highly mobile, able to access all areas of the premises.
  • Ability to concentrate and remain focused while prioritizing multiple tasks, responsibilities, and projects.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged period of times.
  • Able to perform bending, twisting, stooping, reaching, and lifting of moderate to heavyweight material up to 50 lbs. with assistance from equipment or other employees.
  • Ability to frequently use hands and arms.
  • Vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work responsibly and professionally in dynamic job sites that may involve tight timelines, changing priorities, and interaction with customers and team members.

Certain positions are designated as safety-sensitive due to the nature of the work performed. Employees in these roles may also be expected to:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, and reach for extended periods while servicing equipment.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces or awkward positions, including accessing equipment interiors and elevated areas.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills required for precise electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic work.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, with exposure to noise, lubricants, coolants, metal chips, and other manufacturing conditions, while consistently wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
