Job Responsibilities
- Assist with site layout, measurement, excavation, plumbing, back filling, forming, steel tying, concrete placement, rigging, and installation.
- Use construction and maintenance tools and equipment to complete daily tasks.
- Safely operate a variety of tools, including pressure washers, jackhammers, drills, saws, grinders, and various hand tools.
- Safely operate heavy equipment.
- Help with setting up and transferring temporary structures (e.g., scaffolding).
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure proper PPE is worn.
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by management.
- MUST HAVE one (1) year of construction experience.
- Must be able to regularly travel and work out of town.
- Must be able to utilize air transportation.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Prompt and punctual attendance at the shop or job site is required.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (e.g. standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 80 pounds etc.).
- Pass background and drug screening.
- Be able to pass a drug test and be subject to random drug testing.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safety rules.
- Apprenticeship or specialization is an asset but not necessary.
