Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Primary Responsibilities
- Completing and documenting preventive maintenance tasks performed on key and support process equipment.
- Troubleshooting and repair of equipment, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Monitoring equipment, part, and supply inventories.
- Maintaining the integrity of the building and grounds.
- Fabrication, modification, and construction of new equipment and work areas.
- Maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
- On‑call time hours are required on a rotating schedule.
- Must be able to sit, stand, climb, crouch, & crawl.
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lb.
- Various types of respirators are required; respirator training, fit testing, and medical evaluations are also required for issuance.
Has obtained the skills required to efficiently perform all duties associated with facilities maintenance. Possesses the ability to communicate with all levels of plant personnel as well as contractors and vendors.
Knowledge / Experience- Possesses knowledge required to complete all Imagineering internal paperwork.
- Must have extensive knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, plumbing, welding, and HVAC systems. A strong electrical background is highly desired.
- Must be capable of interpreting technical drawings and literature, and using mathematics and general engineering techniques to fabricate, construct, and modify equipment.
- Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must have a working knowledge of electric ovens, diaphragm pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
- Must be able to operate a variety of hand and power tools, including a welder, torch, and electrical test equipment.
- Years of experience: 3-5 years.
Assignments are typically moderately complex; however, some tasks are highly complex and require extensive planning.
SupervisionTypically receives no instructions on preventive maintenance tasks or routine repair work, and general instruction from the Facilities Manager when preparing for projects and major repair work.
Continuing EducationThe individual is encouraged to complete at least 24 hours of job‑related training per year. This may include in‑plant seminars and training sessions.
TravelSome local and overnight travel may be required.
