Summary
The Service Mobile Technician is for service technicians who primarily work from a mobile unit. The role requires self‑mandated work, mandatory safety standards while operating vehicles, and the ability to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium‑duty trucks, construction vehicles, buses, and tractor trailers. The technician performs inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, installation, and repair of engine and system components.
Key Responsibilities- Perform recommended routine maintenance procedures.
- Conduct diagnostic tests for failures and performance issues.
- Determine repair actions for damaged parts and systems.
- Use computerized equipment and specialized tooling.
- Complete assigned repairs and tasks in a timely and safe manner.
- Accurately record time, causes, and corrections on Repair Orders.
- Test components and drive trucks before and after repairs as needed.
- Participate in technical training and professional development.
- Complete other duties assigned.

- Basic computer skills and experience with Repair Order Processing software.
- Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record; a current Commercial Driver’s License is preferred.
- Medical certificate (FMCSA) required; other certifications, licenses, or registrations as applicable.
- Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, on‑call, and emergency repair shifts.
- Experience with heavy‑duty diesel engines and related components.

- Lifting – ability to lift and move heavy components or tools, including unassisted lifts of 60–150 lbs.
