Position: Clayton Homes Service Technician - Garrett, IN
Location: Garrett

Maintenance Service Technician Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Service Technician – Handyman, your primary responsibility is to repair common service problems associated with manufactured housing. You will provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to service calls and ensuring that all repairs are completed in a thorough and timely manner.

  • Perform general maintenance to maintain property appearance and condition
  • Complete service requests
  • Perform preventative care on HVAC and other systems
  • Repair exterior and roof damage
Requirements

As a Maintenance Service Technician, you must be reliable, dependable, friendly, and possess a solid work ethic. You must also be highly organized, demonstrate strong time‑management and prioritization skills, and display effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Physical requirements include hand‑eye coordination, the ability to stoop, bend, lift, and climb. The following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Numerous and varied handyman skills
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 100 lbs.
  • Endurance to perform strenuous tasks
  • Ability to safely climb ladders
  • Ability to work in all environments (extreme heat/cold, rain/snow)
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Team‑oriented and cooperative attitude
  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and post‑offer drug screen
Compensation
  • Hourly wage starting at $25.00
