HVAC/R Service Technician
We are seeking an experienced HVAC/R Service Technician with a strong background in commercial refrigeration systems. This role requires a technician who can independently diagnose, service, and repair refrigeration systems from start to finish, including refrigeration lines, evaporator systems, and related components. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in troubleshooting refrigeration issues, understands system pressures and refrigerant flow, and can complete repairs efficiently while maintaining system performance and reliability.
Highly confident working on refrigeration systems, capable of diagnosing issues quickly, repairing refrigeration lines and evaporator systems, and restoring equipment to full operation without supervision.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
- Service and repair refrigeration lines, evaporator lines, condensers, compressors, and expansion valves
- Perform leak detection, pressure testing, evacuation, and refrigerant charging
- Inspect and repair evaporator coils, refrigerant piping, and line sets
- Diagnose system issues related to refrigerant flow, pressure imbalance, and temperature performance
- Complete repairs from initial diagnosis through full system restoration
- Install, replace, and repair refrigeration components and piping
- Conduct preventative maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment
- Interpret schematics, blueprints, and refrigeration diagrams
- Ensure systems meet operational, safety, and performance standards
- Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate repair findings
- 5+ years experience as an HVAC/R Service Technician
- Strong hands‑on experience with commercial refrigeration systems
- Proven ability to diagnose refrigeration system issues and complete repairs independently
- Experience servicing refrigeration lines, evaporator lines, compressors, and condensers
- Knowledge of refrigerant charging, evacuation, recovery, and leak detection
- Ability to troubleshoot refrigeration pressure, temperature, and airflow issues
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver's license
- Experience working with commercial refrigeration equipment
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycle and system diagnostics
- Ability to work independently in field service environments
- Experience with walk‑in coolers, freezers, and refrigeration rack systems
