Role Description

This full-time, on-site HVAC Technician role is based in Indianapolis, IN. The HVAC Technician will install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Daily responsibilities include diagnosing system issues, performing routine and preventive maintenance, inspecting electrical and plumbing components related to HVAC equipment, and ensuring systems operate efficiently. The role also involves documenting work performed, communicating clearly with supervisors and clients about findings and recommendations, and complying with local codes and EPA regulations.

The HVAC Technician will collaborate with team members and other trades as needed to complete projects on schedule and maintain a safe, organized work environment.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving HVAC system issues.
  • Candidates should possess preventive maintenance skills, including regular inspections, cleaning, and component replacement for HVAC equipment.
  • Candidates should possess plumbing skills related to HVAC systems, such as condensate drainage, piping, and connections.
  • Candidates should possess electricity skills, including safe handling of wiring, controls, and electrical components in HVAC systems.
  • Candidates should possess EPA certification for handling and recovering refrigerants in compliance with regulations.
  • Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Strong attention to safety, adherence to local building codes, and reliable time management.
  • Previous experience as an HVAC Technician or in a related mechanical or building systems role is beneficial.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment, work in various environmental conditions, and use standard HVAC tools effectively.
