Roofing Construction Laborer

Shingler – Wakarusa, IN

Clayton’s Home Building Group is looking for a motivated, skilled Shingler to install and repair roofs using a variety of materials. This position is key to ensuring the durability and integrity of our roofing systems.

• Install shingles according to specifications and safety standards.
• Inspect roofs for damage and perform necessary repairs to restore functionality.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete roofing tasks.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that conform to quality standards while achieving productivity objectives.
• Serve as a steward for company assets by protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting needed maintenance, and keeping the assigned area clean and orderly.
• Assist the Team Leader and Area Manager in planning and organizing manufacturing activities, including communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and reporting quality or productivity issues.
• Meet all attendance requirements, be present for the start of shift at the required time, and follow attendance rules and regulations.

• At least 1 year of experience in asphalt shingle roofing.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work safely, efficiently, and productively in a team environment.

Pay: $24 per hour plus rate.
