About The Position
Extreme is ready to expand its shop team. We are seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our well-established civil construction company in Kamloops, BC. This is a full‑time permanent position with a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, offering competitive wages and a progressive benefits package. The role offers opportunities for overtime.

Job DescriptionWe maintain an exceptional fleet of new heavy equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, compactors, graders, dozers, skid steers, and heavy trucks. In this role, you will ensure that our machines are well maintained and cared for.
Responsibilities- Safely repair and maintain a large variety of heavy civil construction equipment
- Maintain ongoing supportive communication with management to ensure clarity on daily priorities and repair needs for the fleet
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and streamline work processes
- Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
- Keep the shop, tools, and service truck clean and organized
- Work effectively in all weather conditions
- Practice workplace safety
- Completion of Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (though solid experience may be considered)
- Class 5 driver's licence
- Knowledge of operation of front‑end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, and other heavy equipment
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance and storage procedures
Knowledge of workplace safety requirements and procedures - Knowledge of record‑keeping systems and basic computer applications
- Welding experience is an asset

Wage RangePay is very competitive and based on experience.
