Location: Indianapolis

Maintenance Technician in Indianapolis, responsible for preventative and specialized maintenance of the facility and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintenance policies. Collaborates with plant personnel to improve performance and ensure safe, cost-effective operation, including wastewater systems and power plant equipment. Teamwork is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with General Manager, Production Management, and key operational partners to support facility operations.
  • Use a computerized Preventive Maintenance (PM) program daily to document repairs, complete maintenance activities, and respond promptly to equipment failures.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment with emphasis on automation and control systems.
  • Maintain compliance with operational, safety, and environmental requirements by completing safety training, recording and retaining required documentation, supporting wastewater compliance, and maintaining computerized maintenance records.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment and infrastructure to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
  • High school or equivalent; additional training in plumbing, electrical, steam, controls, PLC, welding, and mechanical systems preferred.
  • Work Experience:

    2+ years industrial maintenance.
  • Skills:

    Electric schematics, low voltage troubleshooting, controls, steam/boiler operation, hydraulics, pneumatics, safety compliance (e.g. LOTO, hot work, confined space), wastewater treatment.
  • Licenses:
    Boiler operator license (some states), wastewater certification (some states), computerized preventative maintenance systems.
  • Valid driver s license with driving record free of chargeable accidents, speeding or safety violations.
Work Environment and Requirements
  • Standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, and working in confined spaces.
  • Reaching overhead and working at heights using ladders or lifts (15 feet or more).
  • Lift and carry up to 100 lbs, push/pull carts up to 500 lbs.
  • Operating forklifts and other industrial equipment; reading, writing, speaking, and hearing.
  • Work in an industrial laundry facility, indoors and outdoors; exposure to large machinery, noise, heat, humidity, lint, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • May involve use of respirators, operation of industrial equipment, and entry into confined spaces following safety procedures.
  • Occasional local travel for parts procurement or training.
