Pipe Foreman

Position Summary

• JL Wesley is seeking an experienced Pipe Foreman to lead underground utility crews on commercial site development projects.
• This role is responsible for overseeing installation of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water systems while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to grade.
• The Pipe Foreman will lead crews, coordinate with project managers, and ensure high-quality production in the field.

• Lead and supervise pipe crews in installation of storm, sanitary, and water systems
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
• Ensure pipe is installed to proper line and grade using lasers and levels
• Coordinate daily work activities with operators and laborers
• Plan trenching, bedding, and backfill operations
• Install structures including manholes, catch basins, and hydrants
• Monitor production rates and job progress
• Communicate with project managers and site superintendents
• Enforce OSHA and company safety standards
• Train and mentor crew members

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in pipe laying and underground utility operations
• Proven leadership experience managing crews
• Strong knowledge of storm, sanitary, and water systems
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and grade stakes
• Experience working around heavy equipment and active job sites
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
